Continuing on the pet food conversation includes information about AAFCO. The Association of Animal Feed Control Officials is a voluntary membership of local, state and federal agencies charged by law to regulate the sale and distribution of animal feeds and animal drug remedies. Pet food labels, like the one pictured, should state that the food has been tested by the AAFCO and has passed their guidelines as the labeling on the food reads.
