Atglen Veterinary Hospital

Appointment Policy
To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time.

For your convenience, "drop-off" appointments are available. A drop off means you could bring your pet at the time that works best for you and leave him/her with us for a few hours. Usually we will ask you to drop off sometime in the morning so our doctors can examine the patient in between appointments or at a time purposely reserved for admitted patients. Once the doctor is done, he or she will give you a call to go over the diagnosis, formulate a treatment plan, and answer your questions.

For the safety of all animals in our care, we require that all vaccinations be up to date. We request that all animals be placed on a leash or in pet carriers before entering the waiting room.

Payment Policy

We are happy to answer your questions and discuss our fees and policies at any time.  Payment can be made by check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, debit cards, and of course, cash.  In an effort to keep our fees as reasonable and low as possible, and to make payment as convenient for you as possible, we extend credit only by way of credit cards.

Atglen Veterinary Hospital is a proud participant in many of the local low cost spay and neuter programs.  We accept certificates from then Chester County SPCA, the Lancaster County Humane League, and ORCA, among others, and we are pleased to do our part in helping to make the nationally organized Spay Day program a big success.  Because of our committment to helping the organizations and our community, many pets adopted through these groups also receive free first visits and examinations by our Doctors.

Look for our spay and neuter certificates which we donate to local charity auctions throughout the year.  Our hope is that these don't turn out to be low cost operations but rather a bonanza of high bids from the buyers so that the organizations get lots of money for them!
